Wild vine (budding)

 
 
 
Trees have their rings -- alternatively dark and light wood
they show them after being hewn
the vine adds beads to its life rosary
plain to see on the outside
grey like old cement in winter
in summer hidden behind the foliage
a maze for ants and a balcony for sparrow's nests
and the lizards? they bask in the early sun
